The ‘Acts Chapter 29’ Community

There’s a passage in the Bible where the prophet Ezekiel has a vision of a river flowing from the temple. Describing the scene in detail, Ezekiel says, ‘… where the river flows everything will live.’ There’s a lot about ‘life’ and ‘living’ in God’s Word. God doesn’t want us to merely exist, dragging ourselves through the daily grind as we wonder what it’s all about. He wants us to know life in all its fullness.

We have discovered that Jesus Christ really is what he claims to be – the Way, the Truth and the Life. He came to give us life eternal and life in abundance, and we’re on the exciting journey of finding out what that looks like in daily experience. Our greatest desire is to know what God is doing and saying in this hour so that we can walk in the glorious freedom that is ours as His children – empowered and equipped to be both an expression of His love and a demonstration of His kingdom throughout the earth.

You may have noticed this strapline on our logo. So what do we mean?

In the Bible, the Book of Acts ends at Chapter 28. Though this book is often referred to as the Acts of the Apostles, it’s obvious that the most important character in the story is the Holy Spirit, moving in power through ordinary, frail human beings to reveal the risen Lord Jesus Christ. It’s an exciting account, full of amazing signs, wonders and healing miracles. We at RLCC believe that God is still doing this today! The supernatural lifestyle displayed in Acts was not meant to cease when the first apostles died. Today God is waking up believers to walk in the same authority and boldness as the early church did. We are living in the next chapter, a challenging but very exciting time in history. The ‘Acts Chapter 29’ church will continue until our Saviour returns!
